The IDS Group was selected by the LA County Board of Supervisors to provide multi-disciplined engineering services for the new, state-of-the-art pool facility at the Castaic Regional Sports Complex, as a part of the Perera Construction and Design team. The project includes the design and construction of a new Olympic-sized recreational pool, along with a 12,500 SF pool building and recreation office. In addition, the complex will feature a wading pool and a splash pad designed for local residents’ recreational use.
The project, designed by Langdon Wilson Architecture, features a 330 SF west facing glass curtain feature component in the facility entryway designed by artist, Bob Zoell, in cooperation with the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.
IDS Group will provide both civil and structural engineering for the pool facility, which is located on a 3.5 acre site within the 51 acre regional part. This project will take approximately 20 months to design and build and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2013.
